NHSSV provides free foreclosure intervention education workshops and counseling services!

Homeowners who are currently delinquent on their mortgage payments or are in danger of becoming delinquent can contact NHSSV for assistance. Our foreclosure counselors assist homeowners in determining the best possible solution, including loan modifications and workouts.

Homeowners who are interested in learning more about the foreclosure counseling process or who need assistance should register for one of our Foreclosure Intervention Workshops. Attendance at the workshop is mandatory in order to move forward with one-on-one foreclosure counseling.

The workshop covers tips for avoiding foreclosure, communicating with lenders, and prioritizing debt. NHSSV counselors can assist struggling homeowners to compile the documentation needed to seek a loan modification.

After the homeowner attends the workshop and submits the requested documentation to NHSSV, a counselor will review the homeowner’s financial situation and schedule a one-on-one appointment with the homeowner to develop a customized action plan. The counselor and the homeowner will work together to achieve the items outlined in the action plan.
